Symptoms of Flashdisk ask in Format

warning drive is not formatted

yup, usually when the flash is plugged in suddenly a warning appears as in the picture above.
"You need to format the disk drive in drive F: before you can use it"
in windows 7 & 8 or for windows xp reads
"the disk in drive F: is not formatted. Do you want to format it now ?".
whereas before we feel that our flash is still normal without any damage, but did you know that the cause of the flash suddenly asking for a format like this is very simple.

The Flash Drive is not formatted

well, the following are the causes of approximately why the hell our Flash or memory card can not be used and even make it unable to open it. check out the following :
  1. The flash is not unplugged or ejected safely or safely remove but directly unplugged. there must be a lot of people doing this.

  2. The flash is exposed to water, dropped or exposed to a fairly strong vibration.

  3. Computers or laptops often die suddenly when the flash is still stuck especially when transferring files.

  4. The formatting process is interrupted.
so, how to solve the problem of flash and memory cards that have this problem ? there are several ways you can try to fix it.

How to use CMD (Command Prompt)

please follow the steps carefully so that we can repair the damaged pendrive and memory card

  1. Open CMD (command prompt) by pressing windows key + R. a running dialog box will appear.

  2. type "cmd" (without quotes), and then press enter.

  3. then a black command prompt window will appear.

  4. Next, you type the command CHKDSK H: / R. (H: is the label of your Flash drive.) then press the enter key.

  5. wait for the process to complete.

  6. now try to access your Flash Drive.
Congratulations ! your Flash Drive and memory card can be used as usual again.

The Second Way To Use Check Disk Windows

this second method is essentially the same, namely to repair our flash drive and memory card so that we can use it again but using the Windows Error Checking Tool.

the first step, you right-click on your pendrive or memory card, then click properties. after that, windows properties will appear, then you select the Tools tab and click Check on the Error Checking section. then wait for the process to complete.
and congratulations ! your Flash Drive can be used as before.
Additional updates from Infantry Day:

Right --> CHKDSK *space * H: * space* /F * Space* /R *Space* /X
CHKDSK H: / F /R /X

The letter H is replaced according to the letter of the disk to be repaired. If the disk is A: means --> CHKDSK A: /F /R

If the disk is D: means --> CHKDSK D: /F /R
and so on. Make sure the disk lettering is capitalized!

/F means that we want to fix the error on the disk.

/R means we want to recover data that can still be read

/X means that if needed, the disk volume will be dismounted first.

/F and /X may be removed, but /R should not be removed, because / R is the core of the fix we want to make.

Oh yeah. This repair process takes varying amounts of time, according to the size of the files on the disk. On a flash measuring 2 to 8 giga, generally not too long. However, if the external hard drive is hundreds of giga in size, especially if it is fully filled with files, it can take up to 8 hours.
