 Printer Status Offline? Ever had an experience like this?




Sometimes when we want to print, suddenly Printer Status = Offline, complicated and upset, more important in the pursuit of Deadline, suddenly  printer crashes do not want to print.

Well, this time we will try to give simple Tips if the HP Printer we use does not want to print (Offline) to be Online (Ready), besides that other things we can check the condition of the Printer, is there Paperjam, ink cartridges run out or low and the installation is it right?


Tip 1: Check The Printer Connection

Printer Offline Status is information not connected between the computer and the Printer, whether via USB cable or Network cable / Wifi network

1. Turn off the Printer and Power on again (Re-Start), wait until the position is Ready

2. Check Printer Connection:

a. If the Printer normally uses a USB cable, make sure the position of the cable is connected for sure, or you can also check the condition of the cable is not broken or loose

b. If the Printer is connected via a Network cable, make sure the cable is connected to the Ethernet port, make sure the cable is connected in good condition, not loose, loose or broken, we can see the network signal is working actively with flashing lights

c. If the Printer is connected via Wireless, make sure the Printer is connected to a computer network, we can also check from the Wifi Icon at the bottom right of the PC Desktop Screen to find out the position of the available network


Tip 2: Check The Printing Status

Printer Driver provided by Windows because Auto Update, can change Printer settings without us knowing, so we have to make sure the status of the Printer is not problematic:

a. Turn off the Printer and Power back on

b. On the Keyboard, press the Windows Logo and search for Devices and Printers

c. Select the Printer image highlighted with a check mark, right-click Select "See Whats Printing"

d. Click Printer, we can see the option Pause Printing and user Printer Offline, Click to remove the check mark


Tip 3: Restart The Printer Spooler Service

The Printer will not work if the Printer Spooler is OFF, we can check whether the Printing Spooler is running, and we can determine whether to restart or not.

To enable Printer Spooler, follow the steps below:

a. On the Keyboard, simultaneously press the Windows Logo and R, Type Services.Msc in the Search field, find Print Spooler Service and click Start

b. Or we can Re-Start this Print Spooler by right click Print Spooler and ReStart
